The Memory of His Faithfulness
God’s faithfulness in the past is enough reason to trust Him in the present.
Faith grows strongest when it remembers. So often, fear convinces us that we are alone in the current moment, yet the history of God’s goodness tells another story. The same God who carried you through seasons you once thought would break you has not changed with time. His character remains steady even when your circumstances do not.
There were prayers you once wondered if He heard, burdens you thought would never lift, doors you believed would never open. Yet somehow, through grace and providence, He sustained you. Looking back, you can trace His hand even in moments where you could not see it clearly at the time.
The heart easily forgets what God has already done. That is why remembrance is sacred. Every past deliverance becomes evidence for present trust. Every answered prayer becomes a witness that He is still near. Every season He brought you through becomes a reminder that His faithfulness was never dependent on your strength.
Epistle to the Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” The God who was faithful before will remain faithful now. What feels uncertain to you is not uncertain to Him.
Trust does not begin with having all the answers. It begins with remembering the One who has never failed you.
