Title: God Does Not Measure A Nation By Its GDP.
If you think God cares most about your country's economy, military, or technology, you have not read Proverbs 14:34.
Righteousness exalts a nation. Sin is a disgrace to any people.
That word exalts pictures something being lifted up. Stabilized. Protected. Honored. Not because a nation earned it with strength, but because God Himself is doing the lifting.
Psalm 33:12 says the same thing. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. Not blessed is the nation with the strongest army. Not blessed is the nation with the best economy. Blessed is the nation that openly acknowledges God and aligns its laws and its life with His ways.
That puts a nation under a blessing that no election can manufacture and no enemy can fully erase.
But here is where we get uncomfortable. This means our moral and spiritual choices are shaping everything around us. The way we talk. What we laugh at. What we tolerate. Who we celebrate. What we have stopped calling sin.
God told Israel this clearly. If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
Healing a land starts with humbling a heart. Not with a political strategy. Not with a media campaign. With you. With me. With a people who bow low, confess plainly, and cling to His ways joyfully.
When God finds that kind of people, He is pleased to pour out mercy in ways that ripple through generations.
So stop waiting for someone else to fix the nation. Start with your own heart. What have you stopped calling sin? What have you started tolerating that God calls disgrace? Where have you traded His righteousness for comfort?
The nation does not get healed from the top down. It gets healed from the bottom up. One humble heart at a time.
